Title: Classic movies
Post by: Lurker on July 13, 2011, 06:31:06 AM
Greetings, friends!

Next idea: Classic movies

Anything goes: B movies, SciFi, Fantasy, Horror, Disney classics, Academy Award winners...  Even porn flics; just find a justification for it to be considered a classic.

Peace,
Lurker.

Instead of limiting it to just classic movies, why not expand it to movies in general?  Someone having a really kewl cap from a movie five years ago would be just as interesting as a cap from a movie 50 yeard ago, wouldn't it?

Oh, and is Star Wars considered a Classic movie?  I'm seeing 50 people rewriting the scene of Princess Leia in the gold bikini right now...

Wicked Wild Wild...Wicked Wicked Wild Wild West...James West...desperado...

Wouldn't call it a classic but certainly a lot of fun!

I actually feel that a movies theme in general could work very well... many recent movies have excellent potential for capping (Harry Potter, Avatar, Source Code and the list goes on..)

This would be a very interesting contest. I also think that perhaps a movie poster contest would be a good idea too

It could make a nice companion piece to the Haven Products competition.

Once upon a time I did want to design movie posters, book covers and adverts.

Absolutely it's a good idea - I love to design things like books and CD covers and posters.  I'm all for this!  [cheer]
