Just ran across some pics of girls with guns. There are many possibilities as to stories. The cop that gets a second chance at the prep. Vengeance comes to mind in many situations. Maybe the guy gets a second chance to protect someone and the gal bod is the price they pay. Just thought it might be different. Plus, I stumble across these in various ways and times and themes all across the Net.

I think there is enough images around the web, so it could be an effective idea.

I guess I need to look harder then, but could that cover paintball/airsoft guns?
-
They are everywhere, but then I do tend to look for them ;)
Yeah this could be an effective idea for a contest.

Don't see why not. Throw in water guns, potato guns.....who knows where the possibilities could end?

Then I might have to stealborrow an idea from Kara for this ;D

I have a ton for you Kara, so I'll join the wagon here ^_^

Bonus!
And of course, if you're stuck for images there is a useful website for this....
GIRLS WITH GUNS!!! [rotfl]

I wonder if this contest would run counter to the Haven Rule's Caption Guideline Rule 2 against captions involving violence (it prohibits even the suggestion of violence).

Uhmmmm you know that the reference of girls with guns have another unrelated meaning to weapons right? [rotfl]

If you're familiar with Girls with Guns website that Kara seems to be referencing and Elly and Alexia reference to different types of guns (very specific ones created for recreation), I don't think they're making the she-male reference I think you are making.

I did not think having a gun in a cap or had a apart in a cap was a violation of the rule. If it is, then were are a few Caps/stories they are not acceptable to the rules right now.

I don't know if it is either, I'm just saying, this might be sometihng to run by the Admin ladies before anyone gets there hopes about this particular contest idea, which I'm sure intrigues some people on here (Chicks with guns can be sexy - Nikita anyone?).

There have been captions with guns in the picture. They have had themes of a law enforcement officer transformed and either being pursued or pursuing the villain. I remember doing one where the woman is holding the gun and she or rather he has snapped and is threatening the person they hold responsible. While understanding the concern, it is types of violence and not just having a gun in the story that causes violence.
In any case, the consideration would be made before using this idea and if the need be a direction for what would be allowed and what would not be allowed.
One good thing is that you thought enough to ask the question, never be afraid to do that, in any situation here at the Haven. Only through discussion can we define the things we are and are not about here.

Girls with guns are not inherently violent. Many people enjoy shooting as a sport and never kill or harm any living creature (well OK maybe some bacteria, but they don't count :p ). It is really the intent of the caption, the story involved, etc. that make something violent or not. Obviously we don't want pictures of people being shot or the after-effects of a gun wound, but showing guns in the picture does not run counter to the rules. Heck there is a "ray-gun" category of transformations that many people have in their preferences. So I think we are good to show other guns as well.
If this idea becomes a contest, we would need to be careful, but I trust people here to follow the spirit of this place and not go crazy and start killing characters left and right.
Oh and as Alexia says, thank you Sara for bringing this up. It is a very legitimate concern. [approve]

Uhmmm either you or me were lost on translation... In Spain when someone refers to a girl with guns means to have bigger boobies [rotfl] [rotfl] [rotfl]

Fair concerns, though if having just the image of a gun in a cap was against the rules... well I'd better stop postng caps now! [rotfl] Half my caps have weapons of some form or soldier/police officer transformed in them. Hey I work with what I know ;) 8)

Ouh I just checked the site and I have to say that everytime I came across a review movie section...
The reviewer has the tendency to write this is a bad movie...most of the times...I cannot stand those kinds of reviews without a better explanation [rotfl] [rotfl] [rotfl] [rotfl]
