Because this Community is about maintaining a positive atmosphere, there are both requirements for entry into the Gallery and rules to follow once you get there if you want to keep the privilege.
Requirements to gain access to the Gallery
1. Gallery access requires 50 Forum posts.
2. An Introduction MUST be posted.
3. Access is NOT automatic. To gain access, you MUST apply to an Administrator through a PM. Sending a link to your Introduction may speed things up.
OR
1. Gallery access requires 10 Captions posted in either the Trading Area and/or the Showcase, or a 5000 word story posted to the Library.
2. An Introduction MUST be posted.
3. Access is NOT automatic. To gain access, you MUST apply to an Administrator through a PM. Sending a link to your Introduction may speed things up as well as your captions and/or story can help speed things up.
Rules for the Gallery
1. Respect the Captioners and Artists on the Gallery. They put out a lot of effort and share their work with you. If you are impolite, demeaning, or cruel you may see them take their work elsewhere, or send a complaint about you to the Staff.
2. Your Comments give the Captioner/Artist information about what the audience may want. Positive comments can really inspire someone to a new level, negative may destroy their morale. ANY COMMENTS INTERPRETED AS DEGRADING TO THE CAPTIONER/ARTIST OR THEIR WORK WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and may lead to your banishment from this community.
3. Constructive criticism can be helpful to anyone. Example: You notice the font size on a caption is a little too small to read at full size. DO NOT just say 'I can't read it'. DO MENTION that it's hard to read, and that maybe in the next caption they might try a 12 or higher font size instead.
Requirements to Post on the Gallery
1. You must first have access to the Gallery.
2. You must send a PM to an Administrator or Global Moderator asking for the ability to post on the Gallery. They will grant you the ability to create an Album in the 'Captions by the Members' category.
3. After creating an Album, you must put a caption or drawing inside within a week, or your permissions will be removed. This is to reduce the clutter of empty albums, making it easier for members to find captions. You are free to request an Album again at any time.
4. All work must fit within the Community's Content Guidelines.
Please remember these policies may be modified at any time. You are responsible to keep up to date with any modifications, so check for updates on occasion.
