Caption Size Limits

There are 2 restrictions on the size of captions, File Size and Resolution.

The File Size limit is 500 kb per caption. The upload system will reject anything larger automatically.

The Maximum Resolution allowed will be 1280 wide without a vertical limit, as making it any bigger will make it hard for people to see on their screen without scrolling in 2 directions, and will likely be beyond the File Size limit.

The resolution limit was changed on 07/08/09 due to the growing use of wide screen monitors.
